Born in Argentina based in Berlin since 2004.
Plays bass clarinet, soprano saxophone, and Sruti Box.
He plays mainly self-composed and improvised music, focusing in the time experience and the perception experience as main subjects.
Capece shares projects with Mika Vainio, Toshimaru Nakamura, Axel Dorner, Kevin Drumm, Robin Hayward, Rhodri Davies, Burkhard Beins, Mattin, Julia Eckhardt, Franz Hautzinger, Domenico Sciajno, Sergio Merce, and Christian Kesten, releasing CD’s with several of them.
He played and shared several projects with Radu Malfatti, Keith Rowe, Taku Sugimoto, and Sean Meehan among others, and was part of projects, as a performer, with Phill Niblock, Christian Wolff and Pauline Oliveros, with the Q-O2 Ensemble.

Lawrence English is media artist, composer and curator based in Australia. Working across an eclectic array of aesthetic investigations, English’s work prompts questions of field, perception and memory. English utilises a variety of approaches including live performance, installation and found sound/vision to create works that generate subtle transformation of space and ask audiences to become aware of that which exists at the edge of perception.

Stephan Mathieu works in the fields of digital art and electroacoustics, mainly as a self taught composer and performer of his own music. He creates audio installations, works as a hobbyist photographer and graphic designer, and taught Digital Arts and Theory at the HBKSaar University of Art and Design in Saarbrücken and as a guest lecturer at the Royal Academy of Arts in Göteborg, the Bauhaus University Weimar and the Merz-Akademie in Stuttgart.
Since 1999 his music has been released on 16 albums and several compilations on numerous international music labels, most notably on Die Schachtel, spekk, Häpna, Orthlorng Musork, Mille Plateaux, Ritornell, Fällt, Headz, Cronica and Lucky Kitchen. In addition to his solo work he cooperated with Akira Rabelais, Taylor Deupree, Douglas Benford, John Hudak, Ekkehard Ehlers and Janek Schaefer.

Nació en Catamarca, vivió casi toda su vida en Córdoba y desde hace unos 8 años que reside y trabaja en Buenos Aires; en Córdoba integró los grupos In Vino Veritas y Ad.Nemo y fundó Tóxido Max junto a Florencia de Ibáñez, grupo que continuó en Bs As hasta hace unos años. Es Licenciada en Composición con Medios Electroacústicos por la Universidad Nacional de Quilmes (2005). Su trabajo ha recibido premios y menciones del Centro Cultural San Martín y el Espacio de la Fundación Telefónica. Presentó piezas de música electrónica y para medios mixtos en Argentina, Perú, Estados Unidos y Canadá. Realizó trabajos sonoros para la directora de cine Lucrecia Martel y para el diseñador de indumentaria Pablo Ramírez.

E° es todo material considerado como desecho y que se necesita eliminar. es un producto de las actividades humanas al cual se le considera de valor igual a cero por el desechado. no necesariamente debe ser odorífico, repugnante e indeseable; eso depende del origen y composición de éste.
normalmente se coloca en lugares previstos para la recolección para ser canalizada a vertederos, rellenos sanitarios u otro lugar. actualmente, se usa ese término para denominar aquella fracción de residuos que no son aprovechables y que por lo tanto debería ser tratado y dispuesto para evitar problemas sanitarios o ambientales.

Florencia Ruiz:

Florencia Ruiz nació en Buenos Aires en 1977. Profesora de guitarra egresada del Conservatorio de Morón, Florencia estudió también bandoneón y composición, además de desempeñarse como docente de escuelas y jardines de infantes de la provincia de Buenos Aires.
Su trabajo musical está dedicado a la composición de canciones, y paralelamente compuso músicas para exposiciones e instalaciones. Ella define sus dos producciones discográficas "Centro" y "Cuerpo" como el proceso de "entremezclar una visión de música popular y contemporánea, resultado de una búsqueda personal".
En 2008 se unió a Ariel Minimal para grabar un disco a dúo.

Dedica su formación e investigación en Improvisación para descubrir lenguajes propios de movimiento. feliz ano nuevo / happy new year / frohes neues Jahr / ...


i'm currently in latin america, where i will stay for quite some time, performing, teaching, meeting people and of course vacationing. the end of 2009 has finally been quite busy playing with "the magic i.d." in berlin and rome and with my project "el infierno musical" in salzburg, wels and vienna. both of these bands were also recording new material at amann studios vienna. besides i played a concert with schnee in vienna, with clayton thomas, fernanda farrah and seby ciurcina in berlin and a "charhizma farewell-to-europa" concert with ken vandermark, martin brandlmayr, burkhard stangl, mats gustaffson, martin siewert, susanna gartmayer, christof dienz, florian kmet, klaus filip, dieb 13, didi kern, clementine gasser, thomas berghammer and franz hautzinger in vienna


since being in latin america (16.12.2009) i started to organize a series of concerts and performances, that will happen once monthly at least. so far i invited laura valencia, pablo reche, leonel kaplan and santiago peresón (19.12.2009), fred frith (06.01.2010) and tobias delius, leandro barzabal, natalia tencer and florencia ruiz (30.01.2009).

so if you are near buenos aires, please contact me.


in february i will leave for chile in order to continue my concerts with chlenean guitarist toto alvarez and to give a workshop on communication within music.

so a lot of things going on here in latin america, more or less invisible to the "western world".

La única presentación en la Argentina de Fred Frith, el miércoles 6 de enero de 2010, en el teatro El Victorial, Piedras 720, tocando solo y en dúo junto al músico austríaco Christof Kurzmann.

Fred Frith, compositor y multiinstrumentista, ha trabajado durante 30 años en el punto exacto en el que el rock se encuentra con la nueva música.

Co-fundador de la banda británica Henry Cow (1968-1978); a finales de los setenta se mudó a Nueva York, donde ha tocado con John Zorn y Naked City, Tom Cora, Ikue Mori, Zeena Parking, Bill Laswell y Chris Cutler entre otros. Ha participado también en los míticos The Residents.

Es uno de los más excepcionales improvisadores en guitarra, trabajando con múltiples formas de guitarra preparada, intervenida con diferentes objetos.

Christof Kurzmann, nació en Viena, reside alternativamente en su ciudad natal, en Berlín y en Buenos Aires, durante el verano porteño. Su música recorre el camino que va de la electrónica a la nueva música, pasando a través de la improvisación.

A veces solista, prefiere integrarse como una parte más dentro de grupos de músicos y ejecutantes.

Tiene una extensa trayectoria como curador y organizador de festivales de cine y música a lo largo de Europa. Ha tocado en todo el mundo, salvo en Oceanía.

hi everybody!

long time no newsletter ... so, here it is!

in the past months i was working more in the studio, than playing live.

finally out - the new cd on mikroton: "The Violet Quartet" (with werner dafeldecker, john tilbury and stevie wishart).

out as well - a concert recording of My Kingdom For A Lullaby as part of the Send & Receive Anniversary Box Set.

i sang on tracks for kammerflimmer kollektief and paul baran and produced a radio play called "Börsenkrach" about past and current financial crisis at worm studio rotterdam. it was premiered the 25th of october, the 90th anniversary of black thursday/friday, at radio VPRO in the netherlands and will be released next year on cd.

recorded 3 tracks for the klingt.org anniversary sampler (with Schnee, "The Magic I.D. and with Fernando Perales/ Toto Alvarez/ Gustavo Serpa)

apart from some concerts in argentina, and some with Schnee, Hammeriver and Obliq, i worked on new tracks for "The Magic I.D.", which amongst others, were recorded 2 weeks ago at Amann Studios in vienna and on new pieces for "El Infierno Musical", which will be recorded same place beginning of December, before, while and after playing some concerts in austria (see below).

this weekend has a concert with Schnee, The Magic I.D. and with a special project "Songs Robert sang" with Clayton Thomas and as guests Seby Ciurcina and Fernanda Farrah.

in december my way is one more time to argentina, where i will stay for quite some time.
