with her radical and experimental saxophone playing, is active in a number of constellations and as a soloist on the Swedish and European jazz/ improv scenes. She is currently working with bands such as her free jazz sextett Anna Högberg Attack, the  punk/ jazz trio Doglife and off course the giant Fire! Orchestra. She has also appeared as a guest in Mats Gustafssons The Thing and NU Ensemble and is constantly exploring new collaborations working in the field of improvised music.

 is a trumpeter, improviser and composer from Porto, Portugal. In the last years she has been considered by the international press as one of the strongest emerging voices in contemporary jazz and improvised music.
With a singular approach/voice that comes out of a comprehensive spectrum of influences, from classical and contemporary music to jazz and textural sound art, she is interested in stretching the boundaries of the instrument and in exploring new ways of expression within music.
She leads her projects Impermanence and Life and Other Transient Storms (with Lotte Anker, Sten Sandell, Jon Fält and Torbjörn Zetterberg), and co-leads duos with Zetterberg (also in trio with Hampus Lindwall), Kaja Draksler, Jorge Queijo, Alexandra Nilsson, Hearth (with Mette Rasmussen, Ada Rave and Kaja Draksler) and a quartet with Christine Wodrascka, Christian Meaas Svendsen and Håkon Berre. She is also part of the LAMA trio, Torbjörn Zetterberg's Och Den Stora Frågan and Coreto.
She played, among many others and besides her working bands, with Fred Frith, Chris Cutler, Craig Taborn, Thomas Morgan, Kris Davis, Mat Maneri, Ingrid Laubrock, Joe Morris, Mats Gustafsson, Per-Åker Holmlander, Okkyung Lee, Christof Kurzmann, Tobias Delius, Achim Kaufmann, Frank Gratkowski, Christian Lillinger, Kresten Osgood.

She has been performing and recording in Portugal, Spain, France, Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Poland, Hungary, Romenia, Slovenia, Serbia, Croacia, Kosovo, Italy, Greece, Egipt, Morocco, Ireland, United Kingdom, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, USA, Uruguay, Argentina, Indonesia and UAE.

Isabelle Duthoit (* 6. Dezember 1970 in Montargis, Département Loiret[1]) ist eine französische Jazz- und Improvisationsmusikerin (Klarinette, Gesang) und Komponistin im Bereich freier Improvisationsmusik und zeitgenössischer Kompositionsmusik.

Leben und Wirken

Duthoit begann 1991 ihr klassisches Musikstudium am Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse in Lyon bei Jacques Di Donato, das sie 1995 mit Diplom abschloss. Mit Donato gründete sie 1994 das Festival Fruits de Mhère für Improvisationsmusik und komponierte die Theatermusik le temps du souffle. In der zweiten Hälfte des Jahrzehnts ging sie mit Donato auf Tourneen in die Vereinigten Staaten; außerdem arbeitete sie mit Interpreten der Kammermusik wie Sonia Wieder-Atherton und Raphaël Oleg. Sie trat mehrmals auf den Festivals Musique Action in Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy, Musique en Scène in Lyon sowie in Rumänien und der Ukraine auf. Sie arbeitete außerdem im Ensemble Triolid (Album Ur Lamento 2002 mit Laurent Dailleau (Theremin) und David Chiesa (Bass, Perkussion)) mit Taavi Kerikmäe und mit Tim Hodgkinson (Sketch of Now, 2006).
Im Duo mit dem Pianisten Jacques Demierre nahm sie 2004 das Album Avenues (Unit) auf. Sie ist Klarinettistin im Trio Krizda mit Christine Wodrascka (Piano) und Gunda Gottschalk (Viola), spielt in der Formation Archipel von Emmanuel Petit und ist Gründerin des Trios Bords de Mhère (mit Kristof Guez und Marc Pichelin). Ferner arbeitete sie im Laufe ihrer Karriere mit Johannes Bauer, Camel Zekri, Michel Doneda, Franz Hautzinger und Géraldine Keller. 2001 trat sie mit Joëlle Léandre und Marilyn Crispell auf dem Festival Konfrontationen in Nickelsdorf auf. In Japan studierte sie bei einem Aufenthalt in der Villa Kujoyama 2008 die Nō-Rituale und trat 2011 in der Villa Medici von Rom gemeinsam mit Ryōko Aoki auf. 2012 war sie im Rahmen des SWR New Jazz Meeting Mitglied von Carl Ludwig Hübschs Ensemble hübsch acht; sie gehört auch zu dessen Quartett Drift.
Die Neue Zeitschrift für Musik charakterisierte Duthoit als Teil „einer musikalischen Bewegung in Frankreich […], die die Grenzen zwischen neuer komponierter und improvisierter Musik aufheben will.“

desde su construcción en 1840, el saxofón nunca sufrió una modificación estructural que cambie radicalmente el concepto del instrumento. el saxofón micro-tonal, creado por sergio merce, transforma este instrumento melódico en uno puramente sonico, en el cual las posibilidades tímbricas del tubo cónico, se abren al infinito y se escuchan las vibraciones que nunca antes habían sonado.

Coming from a musical and contemporary dance background, Mio Chareteau produces performances on the border between performing arts and visual arts. The percussionnist Alexandre Babel works in the fields of contemporary music, improvisation and experimental music.

Their collaboration creates a meeting point between their practices, in which they elaborate a new language free from any dance or music stereotypes.

Mio Chareteau’s performances deal with elements from both contemporary western and traditional japanese culture and propose a reflection on the concept of ritual, transmission and memorial images. She develops solo works, whilst also pursuing collaborations with artists from other disciplines.

Mio Chareteau graduated at Geneva University of Art and Design, Master of Arts in Contemporary Artistic Practices.

Alexandre Babel

Born and raised in Geneva, studied in Geneva and New York. Active as a drummer and percussionnist in various contemporary projects/contexts including modern classical, free improv and others. Member of the KNM- Kammerensemble Neuemusik Berlin and CIP (Centre International de Percussion). Current projects with ButtercupMetalPolish (percussion duo with Nicolas Field). was born in 1982, Valparaíso, Chile. He started his saxophone lessons at the age of twelve years and in 2008 he obtain the degree of Superior Performer in Saxophone at the conservatory of Universidad de Chile. He practices free improvisation since year 2000 and since 2003 he has included feedback saxophone, samplers and self made electronics as instruments in his sound proyects. He plays in many different bands as Ensamble Majamama, La Kut, Cariñito 3, Martin Joseph Pacific Ensemble, Akinetón Retard, Cuarteto de Saxofones de Miguel Villafruela, and many spontaneous instrument combinations of improvised music. He has been part of casual meetings of improvised music with some musicians like Tetuzi Akiyama (Japan), Jason Kahn (USA), Leonel Kaplan (Argentina), Christof Kurzmann (Austria), Sergio Merce (Argentina), Norbert Möslang (Swiss), Günter Müller (Germany), Burkhard Stangl (Austria), Taku Unami (Japan). He has played in many stages in Argentina, Belgium, Brasil, China, Germany, France, Holland, Japan and Spain.

was born in 1973 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. he Works in projects that involve the interaction between free improvisation and contemporary music. He studied classical saxophone for 9 years and improvisation inside jazz style, paying especial attention to john Coltrane’s techniques and spirit. In the last years he had developed his work around extended techniques in the saxophone, in the same way then developing his electronic music around a four tracks portastudio without tapes.. Desde principios de esta década, Ignacio “nawito” Morales ha sido una presencia estable en la escena de música electrónica experimental en Santiago de Chile. Con su alias solista,"Leonardo Ahumada", ha publicado en los sellos chilenos Horrible Registros, Jacobino Discos y por Pueblo Nuevo Netlabel. Licenciado en física en la Universidad de Santiago y sonidista de oficio, sus conocimientos los ha aplicado diseñando sistemas de retroalimentación con aparatos electroacústicas y programación en PureData. Ha participado en talleres de electroacústica y síntesis con Federico Shumacher y Rodrigo Cádiz respectivamente. Como improvisador trabaja establemente en "Ensamble Majamama" desde 2005, y en agrupaciones del colectivo de música experimental "ala1recs", junto a improvisadores como Tetuzi Akiyama, Nicolás Carrasco, Raúl Díaz y Edén Carrasco. El aspecto más popular de su trabajo se muestra en el dúo "El Banco MUndial", junto a Pamela "Fakuta" Sepúlveda, un proyecto de noise pop electrónico e improvisación. Otros proyectos de música pop donde Morales ha participado son "Guorl Miusic", "Nawito Dúo" y como bajista en la banda de Dadalú.

Miembro fundador de la mítica Golden Baba, cofradía santiaguina que entre los años 2004 y 2008 engendró variopintos temas pop-rock espacial de la periferia.
El 2007 milita en World Music, derivación más libre de Golden Baba que suma a Dadalú, Nawito Morales y otras serie de invitados, conformando la primera big band de pop impro experimental nacional. (www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywZ-0r-ui_4)
El verano del 2008 asiste a taller impartido por Christof Kurzmann en la Universidad Católica, gracias a lo cual, el 2009 es invitada a “improvisar” en la obra “sin título #7 [EM+5]” del desconocido compositor N. Carrasco en el marco del XIX Festival de Música Contemporánea Chilena, junto a los veteranos Ensamble Majamama, y a la también ex alumna del taller, Carolina Espinoza.
Actualmente está abocada en un homónimo proyecto solista de pop-gore -el cual espera mostrar a la luz pública a fines de este año-, y a su rol de colaboradora del netlabel Michita Rex (www.michitarex.com).

Manrico Montero Calzadiaz
is a Sound Artist specialized in Nature Recording, Soundscape Composition, Phonography and Bioacoustics, focusing on Sound Ornithology, and more specifically studying the Aquatic Birds (Waterbirds) and their ecosystems, working mostly on Wetlands. Manrico Montero has made important sound registers of almost 100 Wetlands of all Latinamerica, from the Maya land in Yucatán, México, to the High-Andean environments and Saltflats of Southamerica. Manrico writes theory about Phenomenology of Soundscape and Philosophy of Nature, and he makes Sound Installations and Site Specific Projects too.

Federico Barabino
nowadays is working with electric guitar and mixer in feedback. The counterpoint of this two instruments make a very interesting sound to work on. Feeling the sound, improvizing live music, listening deeply to each moment of sound.

El Otro Tango:
Eliseo Tapia is the creator and director of El Otro Tango (EOT). A proyect open to all the ¨new voices in the tango scene¨. In the First Chapter EOT is composed of a duet with Eliseo Tapia in Bandoneon and Processed Guitar together with virtuoso pianist Adriana de los Santos. In the pieces they perform they combine elements of minimalism and contemporary music with tango and experimental music gestures. In the Second Chapter EOT is composed of the same duet with guest in free live improvisation.
